Started on Lick Run. Just a little stream but it is said to hold wild browns.Guess what they say is true. I caught this little guy.Another Black Mo favorite. This is where I met Mike years ago. We've been fishing together ever since. And this spot on the Mo never seems to fail. This rainbow gave me a nice fight. Then, at the same spot, I got this wild brown. And then, another more mature brown. This is one of the larger holes on the Black Mo. New Scandi line let me cast to the far side of the stream with no backcast!Mike on the Black Mo at one of our favorite holes. Not many fish though..This was Spring Creek in the early morning. Looked like there should be fish here! And indeed there was. This beautiful brown came to the net. Unfortunately because of the fast water, I lost a couple more.Spring Creek...flows are still higher than normal but still inviting and fishable! This is a shot of Bald Eagle. Why scenery? Cause we didn't get a fish in this stretch. This was a common sight...taking a break. Fish weren't cooperating. Maybe it was due to the "Hunters Moon", who knows. But, persistance does pay off.. a Bald Eagle brown. What is missing here? Rising fish. Think I saw 2 fish rise in the 4 days of fishing. But, every now and then a fish would bite. (maybe I'm just spoiled)I was sitting on my butt just casting for the hell of it and, what do you know, a little brown. That little brown was in this section of the stream.
